How To BE in This Living Now -- Richard Rohr

How To BE in This Living Now -- Richard Rohr

There is only Christ: he is everything and he is in everything. -Colossians 3:13

Theologians have complicated God by first naming God, God and then relegating this static noun to 66 or 72 books of the bible that remains talked about 52 Sunday’s yearly.   Why do we study the Bible as if our Father, the Christ and the Spirit of Truth has even been or presently is jammed inside of a book?  This is not only obviously  ludicrous but an even more absurd unreality.  There’s no belief in reality.  Reality doesn’t need beliefs.    Reality is just the way things are.  You don’t have to believe in the way things are for them to be the way things are.    You have to believe things are not the way they are in order to perceive things other than they actually are.  Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth.  These 'experts' explicitly reject the power and truth of the Holy Spirit insofar as they seemingly refuse to acknowledge the biblical texts they don’t read.  Theology is by definition:  "The study of God's nature and religious belief."   The study of God’s nature lends itself to a pseudo-academic, pedestrian and horrifyingly parochial personality assessment of God as a noun.  This is beyond absurd.  God didn't create religion notwithstanding the God of the King James Bible must remain sorrowfully a topical object of discussion as determined by dualists.  And quite frankly, this is remarkably what we are still up against to the dead end that fearing God as merely a religious belief system restrictively attempts to explain God as an artifact and a biblical detainee.  Theology is again, "The study of God's nature and religious belief."  Again: "The study of God's nature and religious belief."  And yet again: “The study of God's nature and religious belief."  Little wonder why Western Christianity has over 44,000 denominational members in a terror-ridden trance and, to be sure, utterly void of any wonder.  The concept of the self as an individual is basically an economic concept with a pseudo-spiritual and moral facade.

No longer shall they teach one another, or say to each other, ‘Know the Lord’, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin (missing the point) no more. -Jeremiah 31:34

What is sin?  Fearing the One who is infinite love and who has infinity to restore everyone to uncontaminated consciousness all had prior to having been forced to learn ABOUT this absurd impossibility called God’s worst rather than be freely allowed to love the best of themselves as within Infinite Love and infinite love as within themselves.

Infinite Love is inside of you.  Theological commentaries have done more to keep the gospel from people than Christ's greatest foes inasmuch as they fragmented truth that sets one free into 44,000 belief systems.  This is unworkable and utterly absurd.  Once one crams Christ into a study plan, they have conceptualized the Creator and made cliff notes about His AND Her nature.  It is the height of arrogance to make the unfathomable agency of God into merely a blue-blooded and equally jerk water endeavor for another letter of learning.
